Built in 1870 as the private residence of the Count of Valenças, the Lapa Palace may well be described as a resort within the city, set on a hill overlooking Lisbon’s Tagus River, amid tranquil gardens dotted with ornamental fountains and streams. It is located in Lisbon´s most exclusive residential area surrounded by stately embassy buildings and noble homes, and is minutes away from the historic and monument areas, the pier and the shopping district.
Arriving by air
Lisbon airport (LIS) is situated just outside the city and only 12 km away from the Lapa Palace, a 25 minute journey when traffic is light and up to 45 minutes in peak times.
Transfers
The hotel provides a transfer service from and to Lisbon airport and to and from the harbour for € 40 each (€ 80 for a mini-van), or you may choose to use the many taxis available. Please click here to request a Limousine Transfer.
Arriving by car
If you are arriving with your own car at Lapa Palace, we provide covered parking, free of charge for our guests. Just leave your car in front of the entrance and our complimentary valet service will park your car for you.
Car Rental
Lapa Palace has a special agreement with Europcar. In addition to have special discounted rate, in case you whish to rent a car during your stay we can arrange the pick up and the return of your car with Europcar directly at the hotel.
