Luis XV & Columbano Rooms

Luis XV & Columbano Rooms

The Columbano room is the signature room of the Hotel. The former ballroom of the original Palace, it features an original frescoed ceiling by Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro. The Luís XV is one of the smallest rooms of the Palace. Once the Countess’s boudoir, it is usually used in combination with the Columbano room.

Lapa Ballroom

Recently redecorated, the Lapa Ballroom’s hand-painted blue Portuguese “azulejo” tiling evokes Lisbon’s triumphant past, the River Tagus and the Atlantic Ocean. State-of-the-art audiovisual equipment blends effortlessly in with this evocative environment to provide an exceptional experience.The Lapa Ballroom can be divided into two rooms, the Lapa Garden and the Lapa Terrace, one offering direct access to the garden, and the other to a terrace.

Alfama Auditorium

Alfama Auditorium

The Alfama Auditorium seats 86 persons on fixed seats with folding tables but its capacity may be increased to 120. It features a sound and projection cabin, large screen, video, slide and overhead projectors, DVD, microphones and sound equipment. The auditorium also has two separate cabins for simultaneous translation.

Estrela Room

Estrela Room

With a small outdoor terrace and trees facing the swimming pool, the Estrela lends itself to a variety of functions, from breakout rooms to a cookery school set up. It can be used in combination with the Auditorium, as it allows access to the stage.

Monsanto Room

Monsanto Room

The Monsanto is the hotel breakfast room. After 11am, the room can be used as a private venue for other events, such as banquets and gala dinners. Its large bay windows look onto a terrace with palm trees, where outdoor barbecues and cocktail parties can be held.

Belém Room

Originally the armoury of the Palace, the Belém room is decorated in sumptuous medieval style with a fireplace and a private bathroom. Its location on the lobby level, near the restaurant, makes it ideal for private dinners or as a boardroom.
